BOCCA Consulting is a Building Services Engineering Consultancy, formed in late 2010. Our engineering solutions are based on long years of experience on projects both in UK and abroad and from understanding buildings and construction, emerging technologies, engineering and energy efficiencies and challenging blind compliance towards legislation, seeking out the best solution.
We always start from the basics – the client’s needs are the key. Perhaps on how they want their building to operate or what the real purpose is behind the survey. Once you start with these basics, you can proceed to the end result with certainty, efficiently and productively.
The basics are of course a multitude of questions, perceptions and expectations; the clients corporate image, the translation of technical talk into everyday speak, safety, risk and cost management, and sustainability all are key metrics we work from.
Our Principals have worked across most of the sectors in the construction industry – at Contractor level, Consultancy level, direct with, or as clients.
This wide experience gives us the advantage to fully understand every aspect of the project – from the initial design through to the completion and in use.
BOCCA has offices in London and we are currently working throughout London, England, and Europe, across all sectors of the property and construction market with our clients and partners.
The staff at BOCCA are regularly updated with the latest changes to regulations, practices and market trends by attending regular seminars, meetings with likeminded professionals; understanding of CDM and Health and Safety is also regularly addressed. Our engineers in the main are CIBSE members and we are currently applying for ACE and BISRIA corporate membership.
As partners, we strive for honesty and clarity. Our first job is to understand the client’s vision and needs, not to present our own. We value timeliness, direct communication and prototypes over presentations, as well as the occasional face-to-face meeting over a drink or a meal.
Over the years, we have been fortunate to collaborate with some great clients on some wonderful projects, but we believe it is still too early to measure the success of the work at handover - A building exists in time and its usefulness is directly related to how well it continues to perform.
